Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Runny day handles information when you use the iOS app.
A local-first diary
Runny day does not require an account. The symptom, food, medication, exposure, cycle, profile, and observation information you add is stored locally on your device. We do not operate a server that receives or stores your journal, and we do not use advertising analytics.
Location and environment
Location is optional. If you allow device location or choose a city, the app stores the selected place on your device. To request weather, air-quality, and pollen information, the app sends approximate coordinates rounded to about one kilometre to Open-Meteo. You can stop using device location, choose a different city, or clear stored data in the app settings.
Health data
If you choose to grant HealthKit access, Runny day can read menstrual-flow and sleep data to help you observe timing patterns. This access is optional. Health data read by the app remains on your device and is not sent to us or to third-party analytics providers.
Food barcode lookup
When you scan or enter a food barcode, that barcode is sent to Open Food Facts to retrieve publicly available product information. Your health journal is not sent with the barcode lookup.
Purchases
Apple processes App Store purchases and subscriptions. Runny day uses StoreKit to check verified entitlements and does not receive your payment-card details.
Your choices
You can export your records or delete all local app data in Settings. Deleting app data does not cancel an App Store subscription; you can manage subscriptions through your Apple Account.
Children
Runny day is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we will help you understand the local deletion options available on the device.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app changes. The current version will always be posted here with its effective date. For privacy questions, email prodocik@gmail.com.
